I’m a size 10 on the nose if we’re talking street clothes. Looking to purchase a dress online. What size should I be looking for? I realize I may have to have some alterations – no biggie, but I’d like to get close to the right size. Should I be looking for a size 14?

Does the dress company have a sizing chart? They should somewhere I would guess. Get out a tape measure, and check against their measurements for bust, hips, waist, etc, and you should have no trouble at all with finding your correct size 🙂

It changes with every dress maker. I have ranged from a 4 to an 8 depending on the designer. Is it possible to try the dress on somewhere so you can get a better idea

There should be a sizing chart, and you want to order according to your biggest measurement. If all of your measurements are a size 10 but your hips fall in the size 12 than you need to get the 12. I think every designer is different too. Im normally a size 0 but my dress was ordered in a size 2 due to my bust measurement. Its always better to get a dress that is a little bigger than too small. Good luck!

It is different with every dress. I am normally a zero and the store ordered a 6 for me. It can always be taken in, not so much out…
