How do I know how big I will be? Are they made with bigger waists than “normal” pajamas in case the belly takes a bit to go away? If I was a medium to large in pajamas (large if I want to wear them loose and comfy) previously, should I get a large? My pre-pregnancy clothing size is M top and 6-8 bottom. My maternity size is M top and petite-small pants. My boobs are a C cup, which generally makes me need a bigger size, plus they haven’t filled out yet the way I am hoping them to.
I just can’t go by their sizing chart because I can’t know what my waist size will be. I am thinking large? Right now my large pajamas fit everywhere but the belly.
Oh, and what are your favorite brands for these?

I’ve spent fruitless hours looking for nursing pjs online lately. But I woulda suggest going up a size or so anyway- they’re definitely one thing that’s always best with plenty of room in. My needs are different than yours- I’m plus size- and nursing pjs don’t seem to exist plus larger sizes. Boo:(

I would go large. After you have the baby, you almost immediately go back to looking about 5 months pregnant. A little extra room isn’t a bad thing in pjs.

@aunt pol: Did you try Motherwear.com?

Yeah, the PJs I wore while nursing (not specific maternity PJs, but ones I got for that purpose – basically just a top where boobs are easily accessible) are stupidly huge on me now. Your boobs will be big as long as you are nursing and your belly/wasit/butt/thights will probably take about 12 weeks to get back to prepregnancy size.
By The Way, I got these. So unbelieably soft, so great for nursing, LOVED them. But they are pricey and the fact that they no longer fit is a huge bummer. But something like this would work well

I would go larger too, I plan to as well bc I like them comfy.
My husband made a good point too that I can just get regular pjs with button shirt and wear that. I’ve been able to wear my regular drawstring PJs below my bump.
Those are SO cute! But yeah….$$$
Due Maternity has some cute stuff too and they have a sale/clearance area!

@heathaah: I didn’t, going to have a look now. Thanks!
ETA – I’m back- thanks for the hint! Perfect! The feeding camis are $21 so a few of those with some light pj bottoms will do me grand. Yay!
