A 2.5 mm wedding band would look great. I agree it is difficult to find band width but it fits perfectly with my ering.

They don’t have to be the same, mine is a little thicker.  The Ering is 1.5. And my wedding band is 2.3, the reason my band is an odd size it that it was custom. 2mm wood with the thinnest band of 18k he could do was .3

Ylleknicole:  Picking out a wedding band can be hard! But it is worth the search, once you find the one that fits “just right” with your ring and your style. I think a solitaire gives you a lot of wiggle room with regard to style, in that many types of bands will likely look beautiful with it. Plus, you can always build a stack, if that’s something you like and want to do.

I don’t think wedding bands have to be the same thickness. I think it depends a lot on the ring and on what you love with your ring. My ring is fairly thick/chunky. And it has diamonds on the setting. I think it’s about 5mm at the shoulders. I wear it with a few different bands: a plain, rose gold band that’s around 2 mm … a half eternity that’s around 2 mm … and a stack combining those two or two twisted bands, which are 1mm each.

I personally love diamond bands with solitaires. But like PP said, there are so many options! As for thickness, I like them to either to be the same thickness or for the wedding band to be a bit thicker. For me, I’m happy for the wedding band to stand out a bit more because to me that’s the most important ring of the two 🙂

Ylleknicole:  I personally like the wedding band to be a little thicker and love eternity style with a solitaire-makes them stand out individually

Taiki:  yes it is; thanks! It took several weeks and had to be sent back once but it was worth all the trouble! It’s 2.5 mm milgrain band and it turned out perfect in the end.

NEAM2014:  May I ask who created your wood wedding band? And to clarify, was the width 2mm or thickness? Thanks so much!!!

GaeaC:  it’s made by Rings by Johan on etsy. My husband and I got matching-ish ones. mine is 2mm wide wood and .3 wide gold. I’m not sure how high it sits off the finger (I think that’s what your asking). Here is A pic of our bands together
