What size was your gift table?

Our guests fucked up and used the dessert table as our gift table, so 8′ minus the small bit of space taken up by our cupcake tower. Why people thought that the table with the cupcakes on it was a good place for that, I have no idea, versus the table with the cards, guestbook, etc. Then again, I didn’t really expect very many physical gifts at the wedding and we got a ton. We had 85 guests.

We’re having 40 guests and our wedding coordinator suggested a 6ft table. Honestly that seems too big to me, but whatever.

@SeaSalt:  most likely a 72″ round.

@SeaSalt:  Yeah, I didn’t think people brought actual gifts to weddings anymore, either. I don’t think I’ve actually been to a wedding recently where they did? And yet, we received several gifts (I barely got anything at the shower, in fact). I’d say at least 6 feet of our 8 foot table was covered. I should have had a sign with the cards, but I also didn’t think we’d get so many (I couldn’t even begin to tell you how many gifts, but suffice it to say that they all filled up the back seat of my car and the part of the hatch area that wasn’t taken up by our bag from the weekend).
