The best advice that I can give you is to go to several jewelry stores and try some of their bands on, so that you can get a good idea of what will look best with your ering on your hand.

I have a .989 ct round solitaire on a 2mm white gold band with 6 prong setting

and just ordered my plain 2mm white gold band that should be here in 2 weeks…

It looked best with the 2mm… any bigger looks weird

I’ve heard this advice for choosing the best size stones to compliment a solitaire ering (I don’t know if it’s true but here it is). Let’s say you’re getting an eternity band, then the total of your diamonds should equal the weight of your engagement ring stone (1 carat). If you do half an eternity it should be half of the weight (.5). Honestly though, it all comes down to personal preference. I’m a sparkle-monster, so to me anything sparkly works lol.
