Bach - Air on the G. Has always been my favorite classical piece. Now that I've decided to walk down the aisle to it, every time I hear it I can picture that day and I tear up. Corny, I know :)
lol..........i love it! No, I am super super corney! I thought about buying one of those wedding CD's @ Target and seeing what song I like... and I thought the same thing.... Everytime I hear the song, I'd break out the tears!
When I first heard this song like 10 yrs ago, I knew I wanted to walk down the aisle to it. It's just the instrumental version of "Only Time" done originally by Enya, but the version I am playiing is done by Twelve Girls Band. I'm asian, so it only fits perfectly
"Here Comes the Bride" was out of the question for me!! I knew that I still wanted something traditional, yet unique enough that everyone and their momma hadn't heard it numerous times before. My fiance and I are having a String Trio and I really loved their version of "Trumpet Voluntary" by Clarke. This is a link to a string trio playing that piece. I couldn't find a great version of the song, but at least this will give you an idea! :) Good luck!!
im walking to a live piano/violin/cello version of "con te partiro" aka "time to say goodbye" by Andrea Bocelli. at first i was like HELL NO i am NOT walking to that... canyou read the title?? so my parents were like "can you read the lyrics?" lol. i just call it con te partiro cause that means "withyou i will leave"... ahhhh i cry everytime i hear it!!
Okay. I'm going to let out my big secret. One of my BMs is a ridiculously talented singer. After the bridal party gets up to the front, she's going to sing me down the aisle to "The Way I Am" by Ingrid Michaelson. I knew the first time I heard the song that's what I wanted (and that was waaaaaaaaaaaaaay before I was engaged!).
STORYBOOK LOVE from the movie, Princess Bride, by Mark Knopfler!!! I have wanted to use this song ever since this movie became my favorite movie. In fact, I think this is the only part of my wedding I had figured out before I had even met the man I am marrying! =)

Maybe. I <3 Eric Whitacre.
I'm walking to Simple Gifts. It was FH's suggestion and I totally love the idea.
We are having a harpist and a flutist for the ceremony. They will play Hymne by Vangelis when I walk.
We had a singer, playing the piano, he was amazing, he sang "FAITHFULLY" by Journey! It was so romantic!
I think I'm going with Pachabel's Canon in D. We played it in band in middle school, and I picked it right then. I didn't realize how popular it was at the time, but now I don't care. There's a REASON for it, it's absolutely classic.
I got married in October and walked down the aisle to the song She is love by parachute... it has a great underlaying beat to it that made it perfect to do that slow walk to!
Moon River played by our string quartet... I was so surprised by choice! Can't wait though :)
Pachabel's Canon in D
my FI plays it on the piano and it is the most beautiful piece i have ever heard!
@wahlstrombjoy-
I have been trying to figure out which song from Princess Bride to walk to and I think you are right on with Storybook! I think it is beautiful and since it comes from one of our favorite movies, too it seems like the only way to go.
@Wahlstromjoy - love that song, too! We used it for the bridesmaid entrance, in piano.
For the bride's entrance, we used "At the beginning" from Anastasia, also on piano =)
I walked to Bella's Lullaby. I've never seen the movies and haven't read the books, but I heard a snippet of the song and really liked it, and it was different.
@krissycake
We are actually thinking of Under the Sea for our first dance-long story. Glad to hear others went the Disney route. So cute and Anastasia is beautiful.
Ours is by Yiruma called River Flows In You (kinda made famous by being in the score for twilight) I debated back and forth wether to use it, but its so pretty I cant let it slide. Perfect for our garden wedding

I'll be walking down the aisle to Westlife's Flying Without Wings. I have loved this song since it came out so it only felt natural to have this song played as I walk down the aisle. Every time I hear it i think about the big day
I'm walking down to "Fix You" by Coldplay... I just love the song... it's beautiful!
Charismaclassic- We're song twins, I'm doing Simple Gifts too! You're the first other person I've heard doing it. I love how pretty and simple it is... :)

We are having a Catholic ceremony and the priest will not let me walk down the aisle to the traditional "Here Comes the Bride" tune.... so what song are you walking to?
