My dad and I just chose ours…we’re using My Girl, which has special meaning for us because of the line ‘”When it’s cold outside, I’ve got the month of May”….my middle name is May! 🙂
What songs did you ladies choose?

That’s an adorable reason to use that song. Love it. I think we’re dancing to “Stand by Me.” We’re not super close so I didn’t want anything too mushy, and he loves that whole genre of music.

My dad and I are dancing to My Little Girl by Tim McGraw 🙂

We’re dancing to Cinderelle by Steven Curtis Chapman.
The three verses are about the little girl asking her dad to help her dance for the ball as a kid, prom as a teen, and her wedding as an adult. My dad used to take me to ballet classes as a kid, prom dress shopping as a teen, and he’ll be there on my wedding day. I’m pretty sure we’ll both be crying.

Wonder of You by Elvis Presley-very sweet and a nice simple song for my dad and I. We were going to do Butterfly Kisses but neither of us wanted to be out there for more than 5 minutes. Besides, Elvis is classy!

@sara_tiara: Butterfly Kisses by Bob Carlisle. Dad used to sing that to me/play it for me all the time. Though it is 100% guaranteed to make me cry, I could not think of any other song that is as special to us as that song.

@MrsSmurf: my mom tried to get my to use that song, so me & her sat down at the computer to listen to it one day, we were crying our eyes out.. both decided there’s no way we could play that song, I’d be a freakin mess dancing with him to it!

Isn’t she lovely -Stevie Wonder

We did a “family dance”, DH danced with his Mom at the same time and then we had our family and the wedding party join in.
“You gotta Love Someone” by Elton John

“Unforgettable” by Natalie and Nat King Cole. It’s always been special to us and I can’t imagine anything else! 🙂

We were going to do Landslide, but my Dad couldn’t get through it without cryin when we were picking songs! lol

@MissSooner: We are having Butteryfly Kisses also! I have the same dilemma with the tears. My Mum is a guaranteed crier when it is played. I have been trying to listen to it often to try stop me from being an actual mess during it!
