We're using "New York, New York" by Frank Sinatra because we both moved from our hometowns to New York City together and we're both huge Yankees fans!

I feel like there's not too many obvious choices for this one, so what is everyone else using?

Not sure yet but I want to use Nena's 99 Red Balloons (we'd probably use 99 Luft Ballons though). This is a tough one because I'm a music nerd. :) Still looking for the perfect songs. :)

We're using "A Little Less Conversation" by Elvis.  My dad was a HUGE Elvis fan, so it's one of the little ways we're gonna try to honor him throughout the day.  I think it will be a fun song to get everyone excited :)  The music choices are WAY harder than I ever thought they would be!!

We used the University of Michigan fight song, "Hail to the Victors!"  It was really fun, because almost everyone in our bridal party were UM almuni and we got married on campus!

"God only Knows" by the Beach Boys. It will be the only mention of 'God' in our ceremony, I hope that will satisfy my parents!

We are using Black Eyed Peas "I Gotta Feeling" for the Wedding Party and to introduce us we are using the Fox Football theme since I am a huge NY Giants Fan and my fiance is a Philly Eagles fans.  We are thinking of wearing Giants/Eagles stuff when we come out.

@JEssie - TOO FUNNY bc we're using the Ohio State fight song!  FI went to school there, half our guests did too, so we hahve a big OSU following...no Michigan peeps though.  I'd imagine there arent may OSU fans at your wedding either! What song are you using to be announced at your reception? : wedding Icon Wink

We used "Jump Around"  Our STD's were done at Angel stadium so we wanted to carry about that even though it wasnt the theme of our reception.  The bridal party was introduced to "Calling All Angels" and we were introduced to "Jump Around" which is played when the Rally Monkey comes out at the game :)

We're using "The Final Countdown" by Europe - I just love how over-the-top the beginning of the song is!  Our intro style is called "Hyped Sports Arena" according to our DJ!!

Our bridal party was introduced during "I just want to Celebrate" by Rare Earth, and we were introduced during "Still the One" by the Orleans.  We'd been dating since high school (8 years) so it was very appropriate for us!  Both songs set a really great tone for the reception!  :-)

The bridal party still needs to pick out their song, but my FI and I are using "This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)" by Natalie Cole. Fun song!!

I completely forgot that the bridal party walks into a different song -- that will give them something else to all agree on ;o)

I'm from Dallas (where the wedding was) but he's from Tennessee (where we live now), so we had the DJ play the chorus Alan Jackson's song "Dallas:" "Oh, how I wish Dallas was in Tennessee..."

One of the funniest entrances I've seen was two neuroscientists who were announced to "If I Only Had A Brain!"

I let him have this one. There's an intro to a Type O Negative song that goes "I was looking for trouble, and, boy, did I find her." And then it will go into "I Believe In A Thing Called Love" by The Darkness. It will kind of campy, and people won't be expecting it, but it is so very very US the way only our clisest friends know us.

my Fi is a huge ohio state fan...I'm a good southern Auburn girl...none-the-less, i must not let him see this thread with these fight song ideas!!!

Are you guys doing the first dance right after you are introduced? so would you just use a snippet of these songs? I get so confused with how events flow at the reception! What song are you using to be announced at your reception? : wedding Icon Confused

Ugh, okay. I let him have the intro song (it's all he wanted!) for total control of the rest of the wedding, and he's a HUGE Auburn fan, so we're being introduced to "Eye of the Tiger". This pretty much only sucks because I'm a HUGE Tennessee fan, but come on, total control??

    SO worth it.

@nypabride -- soo funny! Love it!

I think we might walk in to be U2 Beautiful Day. I thought about "I Gotta Feeling"but probably by next September it will be overplayed to the max on pop radio. We also thought about "Get Ready"

Our wedding party was introduced to the Chicago Bulls entrance song.. I'd never heard it b4 but it starts out soft and builds and builds.. it was so perfect! It lead into that "let me clear my throat" song which we entered to. It was fun!

The Beatles' "All You Need is Love." I've been smitten ever since the famous Love Actually scene, and while the song didn't fit into our traditional ceremony, it was the perfect kick-off to our reception (the trumpets blaring at the beginning didn't hurt, either!).
