I keep thinking of "when I first saw you"
"the closer I get to you"
but im still looking
I have mine! It's the instrumental version of "Only Time" one of my fave songs ever!
Instrumental... Truly, Madly, Deeply by Ray LaMontagne... romantic, dreamy, and peaceful.
...and NO this is not the Savage Garden version :)
I love the Jamie and Beyonce song but don't know how I feel about coming down the aisle to Jamie
I like it. I actually thought about this but my Pastor said that we have to use Christan songs so I may go with the song that Johnny Gill sung in Madea's family reunion. Or I may write one myself.
@gocubbies - - i luuurve that instrumental, so so pretty...
I'll be walking down the aisle to the Blowers Daughter by Damien Rice
Instrumental version of "You Will Be My Ain True Love".... first heard it when I saw the movie Cold Mountain, sung by the fabulous Allison Krauss, and fell in love with the tune and the lyrics! (Ironically I was on a date when I saw this movie, not with my FH! hahaha).
So High by John Legend. Here's a link to him singing it acoustic version just him and the piano. Hoping I can find someone to sing it just as good with no track!

I gotta be the only AA girl with no "sangers" in the family!
Most likely mine will be "January Rain" by David Gray. I am a huge DG fan, so I am hoping for this, but we're going to do a trial run with it on the night of the rehearsal to see how it goes. Otherwise I'll be doing something else. What, I don't know yet.
Mine is going to be Kissing You by Des'ree http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jt-NwAA3Wvo
I heard it before I was engaged and I knew that was the song I was going to walk down the aisle to.
well mine is jennifer hudson's giving myself being sung by a close friend... followed by natalie coles inseperable being sung by my aunt as we do our unity sand ceremony
My song will be At Last by Etta James, I was listening to this song on repeat in the car before I met my soon to be husband. My heart was wrapped up clovers my favorite line. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uVI254QGSQ4&feature=related
Hopefully I can find someone to sing this if not the recording will be fine.
Not sure yet, a friend who was like a father passed away almost 2 years ago and one of his favorite things was paris so I was thinking La Vie En Rose but I dunno if I can hold it together with that one! If not possibly Tiny Dancer (I was a ballet dancer when I wsa as kid and he's a guitarist/song writer)
I'm walking down to Can't Help Falling In Love by Elvis. It was one of the first things I picked out once we got engaged!
We are going more traditional. I will be walking to Hymne by Vangelis. We are having a harpist and a flute player for the ceremony.
Not sure. I want In My Life to be part of our ceremony, but probably during the ring warming part. He loves classical music so maybe he will choose that one!
I am thinking Ava Maria by Beyonce. not sure yet though.
I'm debating between "I'm Kissing You" (Desree from Romeo & Juliet...kinda cheesy but I LOVE it!!) or "Kissing" by Bliss ( From the SATC soundtrack...)
Dawn by Dario Marianelli...it's the theme music from Pride and Prejudice!
We are trying to incorporate something instrumental from Princess Bride since we both love the movie and hope that a few of our guests recognize its origins. Mr. G keeps joking about him walking to the march of the imperial soldiers from Star Wars...
I'm thinking of the instrumental version of All I Ask of You from Phantom of the Opera, but still not sure!
My church will only allow non-secular music, so I am walking down to Fred Hammond's No Greater Love. I cry every time I hear it.

Make you feel my love by Adele (although with a live singer and strings). I cry every time I hear this song.
Iron and Wine's Such Great Heights. I am having a family friend sing and play it.
I'm thinking So Amazing by Luther VAndross. I'm not sure yet. I also like Alicia Keys If I ain't got you for the bridal party.
A bluegrass version of Canon in D, a duet on the fiddle and guitar! I'm so excited for it.
Totally offbeat choice: Anoushka Shankar's "Breathing Under Water". The moment I head it, I knew it was the only choice. :)
Ive been debating between the Blowers Daughter by Damien Rice and one of the versions of Hallelujah. LOVE the Blowers Daughter though, so I will probably do a harp instrumental of that.
I'll have to find out what the guys can play on the steel drum! I'm from Memphis, and my family knew Elvis well so I feel like I am destined to have "Can't Help Falling in Love". I even own a macaw named Elvis btw! He sings and when he gets all goofy, he will stick his feathers up on his head and kinda looks like Elvis' hairdo!
I'm walking down on Walk Into Your Season by Donald Lawrence...it's an oldie but goodie...and so appropiate for church wedding!
