@amnystik: I'm walking in to In My Life! Love it, but don't want to be too thematic.
We actually had my BMs walk in to "I Will" & then our reception introduction was "Here Comes the Sun" But our theme was also 60s/70s retro all you need is love so all the old songs worked lol
We walked in to acoustic guitar and had him play Bob Marley's One Love (rather than learn it) for the recessional
@PurpleUnicorn: Great minds think alike ;-)
Thanks for the suggestions! I love One Love but I didn't even think about it!
I had the same debate (acoustic but upbeat)... ended up going with "How sweet it is"-- it was awesome :)
We had a beach wedding and chose Israel Kamakawiwo'ole's version of "Sea of Love" as our recessional. I love the song and thought his version perfectly fit the setting.
My brother is playing guitar for our ceremony. He's playing Swept Away by The Avett Brothers. Amazing song!
So not popular on these boards, but I am doing "Here Comes the Bride" on the piano. I have always wanted that.
"You Are The Best Thing" by Ray LaMontagne... such a great tempo to walk out to!! :)
We're walking to Dusty Springfield's I only want to be with you. It just seems so happy

After your ceremony, as you and your new husband walk back out, what song are you using? I am so stumped on this, and I need to tell our guitar player, like, last week so he can learn whatever I pick. Obviously, I want something upbeat but it's hard to find something for acoustic guitar that isn't mellow. I'm debating if we should just have him play guitar for us to walk in and then switch to canned music for this. But even then, I still don't really know what to use anyway!
Suggestions pleeeeeeeease and thank you.
