@AutumnRose781:  Cotton Eyed Joe…..for some reason it makes me want to go on a homicidal rampage!! I just cant even handle it!! our DJ canidate has sworn to me that NO organized dances, no chicken dance, no chacha slide, cupid shuffle….all the dances that make me irked will not be played no matter how many times they are requested or by who unless it is my FI or myself!

@AutumnRose781:  Mine WAS “call me maybe”, but my husband thought it would be funny to play. I let him overrule me on that one, and guess what? The guests freaked out and loved it when it came on. Everybody started doing the stupid dance like the video and it was hilarious. It made me realize there’s no point in a do not play list as long as something is fun, people will be into it.

Any type of choreographed dance. They are not ok for a wedding.

@Xu:  OMG my FI is always threatening to have the band play Strokin. He finds that song hysterical.

We’re having a band so most of these songs aren’t even an option. I think most things are fun at a wedding through! Even silly things.

Though on another thread somewhere someone metioned that the Chicken Dance and the Hokey Pokey were things that could be played at a wedding, and I had never heard of that happening! So that would for sure be two things that would be 100% do not ever play at my wedding.

Anything with an organized dance.  No matter how hard someone begs.  (Though we’re having a band so should be less of an issue)
