My FI and I are planning a very intimate outdoor fall wedding.  He is awesome with his guitar and we both love the music of the 80's.  When we first started talking about marriage I said "you are going to think I'm crazy but I want to walk down the isle to Love Song by Tesla", he got up and walked out of the room and came back with his guitar in his had playing the classical intro to the song.  We have tried to find someone else to play for us the day of the wedding and I jus don't get the same feeling that I do from him playing, so as my father walks me doen the isle my groom to be will play the tune on his classical guitar.

So I was just interested to hearing unusual songs that some of you have walked to or are planning on walking to!

I'm going to walk into the hawaiian version of somewhere over the rainbow. It's my FH favorite song and a surprise.

I originally had another song planned, but the one I want now is a strings version of "Georgia on My Mind".

If you've heard the original song, then you know the hauntingly gorgeous strings beginning of the song!  It's me.

The good ol bridal march. Originally, I was going to walk down to the piano music from
Konstantine by Something Corporate, but I'm getting married in a 100 yr old church and decided traditional would be more appropriate

What can I say?  I'm totally in love with Canon in D, so that's what I'm going with.  Not the most original, I know.  @50 -- Arrival of the Queen of Sheba will be great with all of those instruments!

Crazy Little Thing Called Love by Queen :) My dad died when I was 4, and I always assumed mom would walk me down the aisle. But she lost a battle to pancreatic cancer in 2005. However, she used to be a HUGE Queen fan, so I'm using that song in her honor. We wanted to play Queen at her funeral, but the church wouldn't let us. Our wedding won't be at a church, so mom will finally get her Queen.

I am still undecided on what I will walk down the aisle to. I wanted something different than the traditional wedding march since we are getting married outside and aren't a traditional couple. I really like bellenga's "Georgia on My Mind" and might test out that as an option, love the strings in that song!

I'm most likely going to be walking down the aisle to a song my dad wrote for me when I was born.

I think it's super cool that you're going to walk down the aisle to your dude's guitar playing. I had a friend who played the trumpet in a salsa song as his bride walked down the aisle. It was like he was calling her to him, and it was super sweet!

As of right now, I'd like to walk down to Jon Schmidt's Love Story meets Viva La Vida. I just don't know how the timing will be with the bridal party walking in, since it switches to Viva La Vida at some point. And it's not that bridal/traditional. We'll see!

    Loura's theme from silent hill.

i chose it because 1. it's unconventional, just like our recessional (Higher State of Consciousness by Josh Wink) and 2. It's ALMOST my name (Lora).

I hope to have Steve Winwood "Higher Love" playing for recessional!  Feels like a great way to start our life together and a great kickstart to the cocktail hour which is onsite immediately following our wedding.

The processional for mine will be the lyrical version of Storybook Love (as NAANGel55 said the them for Princess Bride) because it fits our (vague) fairytale theme too well, we both love the movie. I'm undecided if we'll switch to the classic Wedding March for my entrance or not.

Just stay away from Bitter Sweet Symphony by The Verve.

probably hands down the most over played, generic song to walk down the isle to.

I found this really cool musician who did a sound track for a inspriational video, found it on itunes, I know sounds so cheesy, but the music was so cool and different.  I liked the idea of walking down the aisle to something totally unique.  I used Eyes Full of Sapphires by Hamdija Ajanovic...love it!

We're using Canon in D played on the violin.  We're doing a traditional Catholic Mass, so we didn't have many options, but I've always loved Canon in D.

I am hoping to walk down the aisle to an instrumental version of "You Will Be My Ain True Love"... I fell in love with it after seeing (and I think it's probably the only good thing that came out of) the movie Cold Mountain. It's a really beautiful song!

I love seeing all the variety here! You ladies have amazing creativity!

I've got to discuss this with our potential pastor, but I want to walk to the instrumental version of Breathe Me by Sia (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JDK1KYXmDWo).

I want to edit it to cut down the length of the intro significantly, because I want just maybe 10 seconds of the song to play, and then I'll start walking the second that the drums come in. I think it'll be really dramatic. I get all teary when I think about it.

"Somewhere My Love", otherwise known as Lara's Theme from the movie Doctor Zhivago. I am a total sucker for old Hollywood epics, and Russian literary epics. The two meet in this movie, and this song has always been super captivating.

It is a really tough song to play on the guitar, as it was written for a Russian instrument called a balalaika, so a big splurge for me was the ceremony musician.

My lovely BM's and I will be making our way down the aisle to the Beach Boys "God Only Knows" - it's gonna be super cute! Then we'll all be making out triumphant return back up the aisle to "Best of my Love" by The Emotions! Should be cheesy fun!
