I don’t have a labor/delivery playlist but I might have to turn to the Pandora Nsync station that I’ve been loving recently. haha

Well, I had no idea we could do that either but why not?? It’s relaxing after all:-). Here are songs I listened to after my baby was born, cheesy or not, all styles mixed, I loved the lyrics:

-My baby you – Marc Anthony written for his daughter
-Zion – Lauryn Hill, written for her son
-You raise me up- Josh Groban. Not for a baby, but sooooo soothing.

I’m having a boy so I have John Lennon’s “Beautiful Boy” on there, it makes me tear up everytime I hear it! I also have some simon and garfunkel, beatles, and just other songs that make me happy. I also put “H.A.M” by Kanye and Jay-Z on there, mainly because my husband and I thought it was hilarious to have it on there, but also because the song can get me pumped up! lol

hspw714: I’m not nor ever have been pregnant, but I think “the final countdown” and “eye of the tiger” would turn me into badass mode. “push it” would be good too…

Probably just anything by Enya… nice and soothing.

I’d be going for mellow, happy music. Lots of Dave Matthews Band, Jack Johnson, The Shins, Tori Amos (when she’s in a good mood), maybe some Blues Traveler and Talking Heads…. if you can’t tell, I am a product of the 90s. hahaha

If you are having a boy, the Dixie Chicks have a great song called Godspeed.

I didn’t get a chance to download new music and make a playlist before delivery so i labored to a piano wedding song album and delivered with Enya playing. I also picked up a blue tooth speaker to use so I didn’t have to have my ipod on me at all times & that worked out really well.

Cory_loves_this_girl: I like the way you think! I might need to do that to keep my mind off the contractions. I mean shoot, it works on the treadmill! 😉

MsJ2theZ: I think the doctors thought it was a bit strange. They were like, “Do you want us to turn the TV off?” and I was like, “No, it’s relaxing me.”

I think it was just nice to have something that is familiar to me on in the background, and it made the room not silent. I wasn’t really able to watch it though haha
