Considering a specialty drink for right after guests come off the beach from the ceremony while they are having appetizers and we are finishing up pictures. Any ideas?

we had drinks to match our color scheme so we had a love potion and magic mojito.  do you have a theme or colors to tie into the drinks?

We are having an Italian theme (food, table numbers since we took a trip there, ect) therefore we are serving Limoncello as our speciality drink!

Since your getting married on a beach you really have alot of options. You could do a Sea Breeze or Pina Colada (using the real names of the drinks) or create your own tropical mixture and it will really tie together with your beach wedding.

Sometimes signature drinks can be as simple as your (or your FI's) favorite drink! One of ours is going to be rum and coke simply because my FI and his entire family pretty much only drink rum and coke.  The other will probably be a Bellini since I'm obsessed with all things Italian.

You could do something with citrus juice since you're in Florida (I was considering that). If your wedding is beachy and tropical you could do a drink to reflect that. I always really like oj with vanilla vodka, tastes like a creamsicle!

    Good Luck!

Our colors are blue and green with chocolate brown. I was thinking maybe a drink called "Something Blue" and have it be blue and then do mojitos and maybe limeade for the non-drinkers...what do you all think?

I am stoked for this. Our favorite drink is the margarita (DUH!) so we're having "Stefan Loves Morgarita" (our names)

Plus, they are yellow which fits into our scheme of lemon and celadon.

We are both under 21, but we think the whole toasting idea is really neat. Sparkling grape juice is kind of an inside joke between us, too, and we've had it on every "big" date and special day that we've had together. We are opting for  non-alcoholic bubbly! (Grape juice+Ginger ale) I am told it really tastes like champagne! I was able to find some really cheap and CUTE personalizable labels and bottles that we will put on every table. I figure that the kids will get a kick out of getting to feel "grown up" too. I'm so excited!

We love it and it ties in with our vineyard wedding and (sorta) my colors which I call "Candy Apple Red, Luscious Grape Green and Fresh Linen White".

Oohh...I vote for the beachy drinks.

Or if you're adventurous practice at home "making up" your own drink! Then it would definitely be your "specialty cocktail" Include a little description of it at the bar...I think that will be so cute!

We are having a double ice luge/sculpture, so I wanted two signature drinks to be served through that in addition to our full bar.  We've decided to serve The Blushing Bride (a cosmo) and The Golden Groom (orange juice, pineapple juice, and tequila).  I think the names are cute and the drinks sound yummy!

Mr. Staticboy is more of a beer drinker, so we are having a small selection of his favorite beers (I mean small, when they are gone they are gone)....We are having an open bar with free flowing rum and vodka and bourbon (My father and I are bourbon drinkers!) with all the mixers, then for our limited edition specialty drinks (all from from of our favorite hometown resteraunts!) we are having:

    1) Trio's Three Olives Root Beer Float Martini

    2) Club Havana's Figgy Martini

    3) Coast's Key Lime Pie Martini

We are going to 'advertise' these as limited addition and once the specialty liquor to make these are gone, there will be no more :(

@BonnieBon, I think that sounds like a great idea! Unless you know most of your guests are rum drinkers for sure I would try and do a different liquor with the "something blue." You could do something fruity with blue curacao or do something like a blueberry martini. Sounds like the makings of really great party! We did a signature drink at the engagement party. We mixed my fi-s last name with martini the ****tini. For a beach wedding you could come up with a beachy name. Soemthing blue might be nice, but I'd go for taste over anything else.

We are doing one, but haven't decided yet.  We are having a fall wedding with orange and chocolate brown colors.  Thinking maybe a pumpkin spice martini or something fallish.  We are open to suggestions!

This is a very timely post for me, we're trying to figure this out too....love hearing all of the ideas.

For a beach wedding...who doesn't love a margarita, sangria or a mojito...all are very sun and fun in my opinion.  The thing to think about with the mojito is the size of your event, and how easy it is to make these on a grand scale.  Depending on what beach you're on or what body of water...why don't you name it something from the sea?

My family has a home on the gulf, and one the beach bar specialties is a "Red Snapper" shot...Crown, chambourde, cranberry...pehaps you could lighten it up but steal the name?

Our reception is in a log cabin lodge so we're trying to come up with some rustic summertime drinks...

Maybe a Prickley Pear Margarita or Prickley Pear Lemonade or Texas Tea or Lynchburg Lemonade.
