It’s a gift from my SO, but he knew I didn’t want him spending tons of money on high-quality diamonds on this particular ring. (I won’t be wearing it forever, like a wedding band – just until we get engaged again, hopefully.) I’m wondering how it comes across. What stone do you think it is?
Full eternity band, 3 carats total weight. Each stone is .25 ct. Ring size 8, finger size is 7.25 (I have knobby knuckles and have to size up).
Forgive my dry hands, I’d just gotten back from camping in the desert 🙂
Sunlight (for some reason they look blue-ish in this picture but they’re actually colorless)
Shade (a better representation of the color)

No idea but it sure is pretty and sparkly!

Commenting partly to follow – I’m curious to know which stone this is since I’m thinking of getting a clear stone RHR in a few months!
I remember your previous post about postponing the engagement for missionary work. I think it’s a lovely idea for your SO to give you a “commitment ring” for the time being. When you get engaged again will you wear the same engagement ring you had before, do you think? (Which has always been my fave on the bee, btw!)

@Audrey2: Yes, that’s just about what this ring is! You are very intuitive! 😉 I just didn’t want to wear it on my wedding finger like a promise ring. We’re not actually engaged and I don’t want to pretend that we are…
And yes, I will be wearing our same engagement ring again when the time comes 🙂 He says he’s going to “improve” it though. Of course, being the way he is, he won’t tell me what he’s doing, but I suspect he’s just going to change the center stone to a bigger size and maybe a different shape? I’m hoping for moissanite 🙂

@gangqinjia: I think that’s a really nice idea for your FI to get you this ring. Also it’s sweet of your FI to want to improve your e-ring (not that it needs it, of course!). It could symbolise the two of you having the same commitment as ever but feeling “stronger” after fulfilling some of your other life goals – building on what you already have, if that makes sense! 🙂

I would guess cz just because of the information you’ve given. If I didn’t have that info, I would have guessed diamond. It’s beautiful and looks great on you!

It is a beautiful ring. I can never tell in pictures what a stone is but I guessed white topaz. Whatever it is, it is beautiful and made even more so because of the commitment it represents. Congratulations!
