I would say A line- to me a ball gown is more poofy in the skirt.

Really?? What horrible things have you heard/read about them? I’ve always read that a dropped waist A-line is universally flattering on people. Yes, your dress looks beautiful on you!

its a ball gown just not a full one. It depends on the crinoline/petty coat.

My dress is a ball gown- but needs the ball gown petticoat or it looks a line.

its just throw of by the cut and your petticoat isn’t full enough to make it a full ball gown.

its border line both!

and as to bad things about droped waists/this style dress mine made me look alot taller then I am- I specifically asked for droped waist to make me not look so short..

Probably full A-line, but I would say it’s a drop waist A-line/ballgown. The skirt isn’t full enough to be a true ballgown, but the tulle does make it a little more ballgown-y. I’m going with drop waist full A-line.
