@BellaDee:  🙁 That is horrible.  All I can picture when I see any article, good or bad, are my dogs.  Why would anyone do something so awful?!

In asia, dogs are commonly eaten for food.  If you want to support a group that helps to save these animals and re-educate the public, I highly recommend supporting Animals Asia Foundation (website https://www.animalsasia.org/us/index.html).  I think they also have a facebook page.

OMG. That is disgusting.

How does everyone else feel about this?

About this case? I think anyone that would do that to an animal should die. Period. Call me crazy if you want, but I have no tolerance for animal cruelty, none.

How does everyone else feel about this?

About sharing things like this on FB? Not a fan. I know people are cruel and these things happen. I don’t need to see or hear about every individual case.

I have convinced myself from reading this that the photo you saw is photoshopped.

I refuse to believe otherwise for the sake of not ruining my entire LIFE.

@BellaDee:  Auntie would be getting blocked from my newsfeed for at least a few months.  Who would post something like that and think it’s okay?  I get posting for shock value but post a tamer pic with a link to the article and a warning for people who don’t want to see it.  That would pretty much ruin my day.  Dead puppies.  Frown

@BellaDee:  Umm EWW!!! These kind of things also disturb me to no end. I watched a video yesterday of people on a pork farm abusing the pigs like kicking little piglets and stuff and I’m so traumatized today..I shouldnt have looked at it.. soo sad 🙁

@BellaDee:  Not like what you’re describing (which is totally horrific), but they do have pictures of the animals crammed into cages.  However, there are plenty of pictures of animals happily adopted and safe in sanctuaries as well.  Asia is TERRIBLE when it comes to animal welfare, but this group is looking to change that which I find very refreshing.

@BellaDee: I’m sorry but to me an animal is an animal. intelligence? pigs are smarter than dogs. rats are compareable to dogs, yet nobody cares when they’re used in all sorts of lab experiments (but if somebody experimented on a cute puppy… oh dear!). I’m kind of angry at the hypocrisy. I mean I get it, in western culture a dog is something more relateable. but in other cultures, cows are sacred. in other cultures, pigs and chickens are friends.

respect other cultures, don’t look down on others. we all have imperfections.

@BellaDee:  Well I think our issue with eating dogs is more because here in the states they are domesticated. To some people they aren’t and they’re just another animal like any other. I just don’t agree with how it was done.

My stepfather doesn’t eat pork just because pigs are so intelligent (in the top 10 smartest animals) and he doesn’t feel right about it. I believe they are ranked higher than dogs…
