So it’s a picture of someone and it says they have your name?

I’m confused. Is it your name, or was it a random picture with your name listed in the description?

@allyfally:  Do a whitepages.com search in your/that area to see if your name pops up at another address.  Perhaps there is someone else with your name living in that area.

I’m still confused. How is your name a description? Is it saying the person in the pics name is the same as yours?

It could be some Facebook ad juju. Facebook ads are a lot more targeted and sophisticated than they used to be. They can populate all sorts of information from your user profile. If you have access to another computer, log out of Facebook, clear the cookies/caches for all browsers, and check the photo again, or ask someone else to have a look while they are logged in as themselves. If you just log out of Facebook you’ll probably still see your name because a lot of stuff is written to the browser cache and cookies.

Oh, I missed this was on facebook.

I’m willing to bet it’s a cookie issue. Cookies store what you’ve looked at previously, searched for.

The fact that you searched for your name, and facebook ads are cookie based (Meaning they will target you based on what you search for, so if you search for houses in New York, you’ll get housing/new york  based ads)

No one is stalking you. Someone just had an advertisement that picked up on your name from your cookie history.

@allyfally:  My first name has a super unique spelling… everyone always comments on it saying wow I’ve never seen it done like that before! and recently someone told me there’s another girl in the same city with that spelling so I looked her up and she has the same spelling, has a boston terrier.. among other similarities! I was like get out! lol
