@fischisparkles: I didn't read this before I read your other post, but the same thing has happned to me in the past few weeks.
I went to a party and a majority of the peopel there I only see once a year, and they all asked. One said, "Oh its been a year since I saw you last, and I just assumed it was about that time". Then, my supervisor asked if my MIL was helping us move in June and then my dental assistant announced to the 2 orthodontists in the room that my fiance does XYZ and knows a persont hat they know". The ortho wrote down fiance = Mr. Speechie on my intake form and I had to correct them with an "Oh we aren't engaged, he is just my boyfriend", and then she scribbled it out. ::head bang::
CRUEL I TELL YOU!!!
Geez Speechie, that one is ROUGH. I dont get why people just ASSUME!!? I think its so rude..
One of BF's colleagues introduced me to his family as BF's wife last fall. I said, "no, I'm not his wife" and he said, "Oh same thing, it doesn't matter".
So annoying, but I try to laugh it off, plus you would think that BF would get the hint?

LOL..that must be the upside :)
I get the other end.. we have only been technically dating for 8 months tomorrow (been friends for almost 9 years) and some people cant fathom the fact we are talking about getting engaged. Mr. Tees mother on the other hand is badgering him to propose.
I was booking a flight to go to my b/f older sister wedding in april in the dominican and the travel agent was like to his mom oh i'm still looking for his fiance's flight. I was like ugh were not engaged.
hehe it seems like this is extremely common amongst us waiting girls! Being Australian, the boys friends always refer to me as his "Mrs" and Im always like "HEY not yet Im not!"

The universe is being abnormally cruel this week. FOUR TIMES NOW I have been asked if I'm married, or people just assume I'm married...HELLO that is rude!! I don't have a wedding ring or anything so idk where people are getting this idea but MAN does it suck!! Anyone else have experiences like this? Not just the ol' "Oh you've been dating blah blah such n such years when are you getting engaged" crap, people just skipping that and asking "So you're married?" UGH.
