Here's my dress (model, not me):

    http://www.jlmcouture.com/assets/JimHjelm/br/altview/8858_x2.jpg

    Accessories

I wasn't planning to wear a back necklace, but two of my bridesmaids think that the back of my dress will look plain without it.  I don't recall seeing many brides wear back jewelry, and the designer has another picture that shows the model wearing a back necklace.  Opinions?

    Undergarments

I have been REALLY struggling to find a bra or bustier that cuts low enough for my dress.  I've tried having cups sewn in but it just looks (and feels) awkward.  Sticky bras don't offer any support (32D here), and the thought of tape gives me shivers.  My seamstress still wants me to use a bra, but I haven't found one that will work well.  Any help?

I don't think I'll be any help with the bra, I'll try to look for something for you, but I just wanted to tell you that is a GORGEOUS dress!

I absolutely adore that dress.  Its amazing.  I don't think you need a back necklace though.  It would look nice but its not at all necessary, the dress isn't that low.  Have you looked into the Victoria's Secret bra that can change the straps in a bunch of ways?  I've heard its amazing but I don't want to buy it because it doesn't have padding, which I need and you don't!  Haha.  Check it out, its a bit expensive but worth it, and it'll last forever.

I don't think you need a back necklace either.  Honestly, I don't think you are going to be able to find a bra whose back goes down that far.  Mine wasn't that low and I still couldn't find anything.  Victoria's Secret does have extenders for some of their bras that you wrap around the front that might work.  I'll look and see if I can find them.

This is the only one I could find, I don't know if the back goes down low enough though:

I found these on FigLeaves.com that might work for you.  They seem to be out of stock of 32D in Beige, but it looks like they do make that size since it's availabe in Black.  Maybe you can either try calling them to see when they'll get more or try to find it online somewhere else if it works for you.

I did find the company who makes it that you can buy directly from, but they're located overseas.  http://www.ultimo.co.uk/default.aspx

Good luck!  I'm having a hard time finding something too.  I need something completely backless but strapless as well, which makes it nearly if not completely impossible.

First off, LOVE your dress! As for the bra, I don't remember what it was, but I once saw a strap that goes around your tummy and you hook it to the back of your bra and it pulls it down and out of sight while still letting you wear it.

For a bra: Victorias secret. That bra that you can wear like 100 ways, amazing! My sister has a sun dress that plunges in front and back, her boobs are like a 34DD, and it works AMAZING for her. http://www2.victoriassecret.com/commerce/onlineProductDisplay.vs?namespace=productDisplay&origin=onlineProductDisplay.jsp&event=display&prnbr=EH-211598&page=1&cgname=OSBRPVERVIL&rfnbr=5708

Accessories: If anything, I would just wear a really gorgeous regular necklace. I love the look at the plain open back, i think it is so sexy and pretty on its own. Don't interupt it with jewelery!!!!

Have you considered tying the bow in the back?  Maybe with a wider sash?

I agree with the Maidenform backless bra.  I have one.  It's ok.  I bought mine at an outlet store for under $10.

Beautiful dress!  My back of my dress was plunging also - I went without any jewelry.  I think a backnecklace would take away from the gorgeous line of your dress.

In the bra dept...I just had cups sewn into my dress.  But I'm fairly small up top...

Try having your seamstress sew a modified bra into your dress - you'll have the support & no worries of anything showing that shouldn't be!

Check out www.herroom.com- they have several long-line bras made for low back/backless dresses:

Either get cups sewn in or there is a bra back extender that was described above. I've used them and they can get a bit uncomfortable though. :(

Also check out the Lauren Silva group.  I found a longline bra that I was going to use, until I decided that I was too claustrophobic in it!

They had great customer service and affordable prices.

I dont even know what a back necklace is, but i dont like the idea at all. I think the pretty thing about wearing dresses that are low cut in the back is showing off your back. Wearing a back necklace would take away from that. your dress is beautiful!

That dress is GORGEOUS on its own, I don't think it needs jewelry. And I would opt for having cups sewn in if you can, I think it would be the most simple option?

I wore a pearl lariat with my debutante dress when I was younger.  The front was a bateau neckline and the back was a deep v.  So from the front, it kind of looked like a pearl choker, but from the back, the tail of the lariat filled in the space nicely.

It looked really lovely, but actually, I think your (BEAUTIFUL!) dress would benefit from not having jewelry.  The simplicity will really highlight the dress and your toned back.

Also, I second (third?) the cups being sewn in.  That way, you wont be fidgeting with a bra all night. I would also suggest getting some hollywood tape and taping the inside edge of the cups to yourself.  Sometimes, bodices with cups sewn in will bend away from your body when you twist or bend over, giving grandma or whoever a view they weren't expecting.

Your dress is so pretty! I have the same problem regarding a low v-back, but I'm having cups sewn in. It was literally my only option.

My dress doesn't leave any room for any type of undergarment!

GORGEOUS!  Ok, so no need for a back necklace.  This dres is AMAZING and you don't want to take ANYTHING away from that.  Beautiful!  Also as far as the bra goes, what HunnyBear suggested is actually a really great bra.  My BM who happens to be very well endowed swears by that bra and it's super cheap.

I love your dress!  I agree with all the PP that you do not need a back necklace.  Are you thinking about a veil?  That will provide some interest during the ceremony, and during the party I don't think you'll need anything!

Hey there!  What a gorgeous dress.  It is sexy and yet elegant.  Very, very tasteful.

IMO I wouldn't want to see anything clutter up the vision of the back.  My vote is no back jewelry.  Less is more.

    Watch for tan lines.

What a beautiful dress! I love the plunging back. I agree with others that you don't NEED something to fill that space, just some sexy skin does the job perfectly! But if you want, a lariat would look really nice, especially after you've taken off your veil, if you're wearing one.

First of all, your dress is GORGEOUS, especially the back! Second, TOTALLY wear a back necklace! I love them SO much, they're so unique and a bit sexy. I dunno about the bra, honestly, you might have to go braless.

could always write just married? JK. I think it looks GREAT without a back necklace. But if you were thinking back necklace whats the tone of your wedding? elegant? bold? vintage? could always pop a bit of color there or subtle tones.

Hmm I personally wouldn't wear a necklace with the cut of that dress (this is just personal opinion of course). I think that you could find some fabulous bracelets and earrings to jazz it up, but I would want to leave the neckline plain, since it is so stunning on its own! I guess I'd have to see a pic of the "back necklace" with the dress...I feel like it would bother me having something dangling down my spine...I'm super ticklish though!

I suggest taking the dress to a GOOD tailor and have them sew in the appropriate size cups.

As far as the necklace goes, I say a back necklace is great but I would keep it very simple, not a whole lot of bling.

Oh no! Don't do a back necklace! I think they look so weird, like your necklace got turned around, plus it'll be COLD whenever you get a chance to sit down and lean against something. Plus it's such a beautiful dress in the back that I wouldn't want to distract from it.

    Hi,

THANK YOU for all the responses.

I'm leaning against the back necklace.  I really appreciate the input.

With respect to the bra...this is all too complicated, but I think I"m going to try one of the Ultimo garments that tigerlily3181 provided a link to.  I'm really worried about the bra showing, and that looks to be the lowest cut undergarment out there.  I'm not sure I trust the Maidenform bra that has nothing at all in the back...I've read some bad reviews about it.  Sometimes I wish I hadn't picked such a tricky dress.
