Mr. Tattoo’s mother (you really don’t know how mind blowing this is to have something good come from her) apparently found our registry and bought something from it. I didn’t know because I haven’t been stalking it. I didn’t think I had to do that until like next year. We have one because we plan on having a countdown party in a few weeks.
Anyway, so I get home today and on our doorstep is a package from Macy’s. I was like WTF? I didn’t order anything and I know Mr. Tattoo better not be ordering anything right now. Any money we get has been going towards a deposit on a new car and the wedding. I take it upstairs and it’s the 1000 thread count sheets we registered for. Awww, how nice.
I wash everything even if it’s new, so they just came out of the dryer not too long ago and I put them on the bed.
I seriously almost didn’t leave. We have been sleeping on effing HAY compared to this! WTF! NO seriously…WTF! How have we slept on CRAP this entire time! This is effing like sleeping on a cloud! NO! Better than a cloud! What’s better than sleeping on a cloud? This is like sleeping on a double freaking rainbow!
There really isn’t a point to this. I’m just in shock. There should be a Public Service Announcement on every TV channel for people to throw out their old sheets and get some freaking 1000 thread count sheets! I’m never going back! I’m going to go register for more sets! If someone doesn’t get them for us then at least we will get the discount on them!

LOL @ double rainbow! BAhahaha…
I have never slept on really nice sheets; mine are all pretty cheap and crappy I believe. How much did they cost do you know?

@Miss Tattoo: Hahaha… that’s AWESOME!

I am super jealous! My favorite place in the house is in bed and I try not to leave it as much as possible. I think next on our saving list will be some new sheets 🙂

@MademoiselleL: I believe the sheet set was $190…but I think Macy’s is having a sale so maybe $120. Whatever. They are freaking AMAZING! I’m in bed right now! ha ha ha. I never take my laptop to the bedroom. I’m seriously going to bed early tonight to spend as much time as I can with these sheets.

It feels wrong.

@Miss Tattoo: Wooo no wonder I’ve never bought them. Sounds like it’s worth it though!

Oh my gosh I totally know what you mean! I forget what thread count we got, but we registered for a super nice set too. Putting it on the first night, we both just laid there in awe. Soooooo niiiiice.

I always wondered if there was a big difference in thread count. I could never justify spending that much money on sheets. I think you just swayed me though!!!

Mr. Tattoo got home 15 minutes ago and he’s seriously feeling up the sheets. If I were a jealous woman I would be fighting someone. lol He got in the door and I’m like:
Me: Hi! How was your day! *kiss kiss hug hug*
Mr. Tattoo: Long…
Me: Yeah, that’s great! Go sit on the bed!
Mr. Tattoo: No. I’m tired Miss Tattoo. Not right now. At least let me eat first.
Me: No, seriously. Go sit on the bed. You don’t even have to sit on the bed! We got sheets in the mail from our registry!
Mr. Tattoo: Who are they from?
Me: NOT NOW! JUST GO FEEL THEM!
Mr. Tattoo: *walking to the bedroom* Ugh, I don’t see the big deal about some damn sheets. They are sheets. I don’t even have my shoes off yet and you are making me feel….these….oh…oh my….oh wow! WOW! Did you feel these sheets!?
ha ha ha!

Note to self: register for 1000 thread count sheets!

Awww this makes me kind of sad. We got 1000 count sheets for our wedding as well! But we recently switched from a full to a queen. So I exchanged the sheets for the correct size. As I was in Target, I decided to go with less thread count so I wouldn’t have to pay anythig extra… yes, I’m cheap! Now I wish I paid the extra $10 🙁
