Oh no! Maybe you could white it out and correct them all by hand?
Do you have a wedding website? Or you could print out a correction and mail it to all of your guests... depending on the size of your wedding, you could have your BMs pass it by word of mouth or phone calls?
This is assuming you've already sent them...
is there any way you can squeeze a handwritten "1" in front of the rest of the address? I know it wouldn't look perfect, but maybe it will save some people from getting lost!
Is this on the actual invitation or just the map insert? If it's in the actual invitation, I would either email or mail out just a letter noting the correction...If it's on the map insert, then I would just add a hand-written "one" in front of the address...Sorry, that sucks, totally something I would do too!
ok, i have not sent the invites yet. they are addressed and ready to go but still not yet sealed. it says teh address on the invitation. i am planning to create a map and include it. do you think ppl will really use my map or go by the invitation. i dont want to ruin my invitations.
omg my FI wants me to rebuy and reprint them all.
I think that people will be confused if you don't put a note saying why the map and invite are different.
? put a note on the map clarifying the mistake? what exactly should i say to not sound like the biggest idiot ever? ugh. i feel like such a dummie. how freaking embarrassing.i am literally sick to my stomach. and to make it worse my FI family are total sticks in the mud.....
Please don't beat yourself up about this... it is so hard to keep everything straight when you working on so many different projects. It happens to all of us! You know what I did? I made response cards that said "We have ___ seats reserved in your honor" and then I put them in the envelopes and mailed them off without filling in the amount of seats reserved per party... OMG I was laying bed 4 nights after I mailed them when it finally hit me!
This is what I would do... I would include your maps with the correct information and neatly write in a "1" if you're able to fit it in there. Yes it's not how you wanted it to look but if I were a guest I would appreciate the correction. So many people have GPS nowadays that they may not even bring the map and just try to plug in the address off of the invite.
I'm sorry that happened to you :-(
