Good Evening Everyone!,
As exciting it is planning for my big day, I was wondering what were the colours and themes to your wedding? I am wanting to have Red, White, & Gold colours (I am wanting a Holiday wedding)
What inspired you to have these colours and theme? 🙂
Please feel free to lay it all out! 🙂
(Ps. I’m sure many of you have seen a lot of my post lately today, so my apologies bees! I just love reading everyone’s ideas and what they envision for their big day!)

@Sweetpeaontheweddingbee7: We’re going for blue, white and black. As for a theme we don’t have one because we just don’t fit into one box (Im just can’t handle the stress of trying to stick to one). I admire people who can pull off a theme, but if we have a theme I think it will be “let’s get married”.

@renwoman: OH Cool! It’s sounds very classy I love it! The Let’s Get Married Idea seems to go along with your colour scheme honestly 🙂 Thank you so much for sharing!
Have you tried searching “The Knot” for inspiration of any sort? I did manage to get some great ideas from there as well as Pininterest 🙂

@Sweetpeaontheweddingbee7: I was originally on The Knot website, but had so many bad experiences and bullying on their forums that I left and came here. I love to do Google image searches and just scroll through them, PinInterest is also great!
I’d love to see what you dream up with your colors, they are so bold and offer tons of possibilities.

Our colors are navy and eggplant, with hints of metallic and the flowers will be all white with some green.
Our theme is Harry Potter but not, vintage books or something, not sure what to call it.

Ours colors were black, white, and red. I went with a vague Old Hollywood theme

@renwoman: Oh dear! That is no good 🙁 But no worries your here with a bunch of lovely bees 🙂
I love Pininterest and have been quite obsessed with it lately so far I had pin almost the entire site haha, and thank so much! It’s still quite hazy at the moment as there is still a lot of room for improvement!
@mrsmeyers84: Wow, your colours are also great! I love it, I can definitely see something vintage along with it, The Harry Potter idea seems so spiffy!, very different 🙂
@GeekChic: Your colours are rather Glam! I love it as well 🙂

Our colous are Aqua & red. There’s a slight nod to traveling…airmail envelopes, postcards, places we’ve been as a couple.

Already married but I had eggplantneither accents of blush pink and lavendar 🙂

our theme was ‘awesome’ and our colors were all of them (i had rainbow hair, encouraged our guests to wear colorful clothing, and used as many colors as we could in the flowers and decor).

We are having a woodland fairy tale theme. We are focusing more on theme than colors. Think branches, Christmas lights, tons of candles. Woodsy but chic, with mostly white flowers and greenery.
The bridesmaids will be in bright plum/burgundy (Bill Levkoff “sangria” chiffon!), and we will have paper lanterns and poms hanging above the stations in undecided colors, probably blush, champagne, and ivory! But I’m really trying to avoid having a pink and purple wedding, haha. Maybe a lavender instead of blush? But I hate lavender… I feel like my colors make no sense! As I said, we are focused more on the theme. Lol.

@Soon2BD-CBee: I really like that! That’s definitely cool. The whole traveling theme seems really nice as well, I like that you also had something personal along with it, as you mentioned that you had traveled to certain places as well. A great touch with it 🙂
@Firemansgirl: No need to worry about that! and congrats 🙂 I am sure you are enjoying married life as we speak! Your colours a very soft, I love them, lavendar is a very lovely colour! I like that you did go for a blush pink 🙂 Very elegant

Brilliant and fun idea, very out there, I love it. Very creative!
@Fanciful: I am somewhat going towards that theme as well. I like the idea, I am sure it can be really confusing though, But perfection takes time anyhow 🙂
I like the colours as well, I like how you are going with this, I am sure that it will soon become clearer as you continue to work on it! I also liked the paper laterns Idea, it’s sounds very beautiful to add! (I’m am somewhat envisioning tiny paper laters all over the room glowing, It reminds me of the holiday seasons, with the trees and christmas lights and candles!) I am sure it will be absolutely heavenly when everything is finished!
@langloiswedding2013: Big fan of Country Rustic, very simplistic and breathtaking all in one. Your colours mix in together wonderfully!

We have two themes that go together. The ceremony will be a total late 1800’s mining town theme. Think the movie Tombstone. After the ceremony, gun fighters are going to try and ‘kidnap me’ and put on a show for the guests. Fiance of course will rescue me. He is totally stoked about this. The reception will be more of a country throw down. We are total country folk so it will fit us. The mining town thing came from Fiance and FMIL’s interests in the history of Arizona mining towns. The colors will be fall colors, I want my reception to represent harvest season. I grew up in a farm town.
