I was wondering if you ladies would share about items that were impossible or near impossible to find for your wedding. Either because you couldn’t find it in your area or because they were to expensive or rare.
MINE: rustic picnic/farmers tables. IMPOSSIBLE and SUPER PRICEY!!!!

I have wanted wine barrels for a rustic-looking drinks table for a long time, but when I found a vintage rental company that rents them out, I found out that they’re $100 each! Grr.

Also, I’ve been stalking these shoes on eBay but I can’t find any cheap ones that are lightly used in my size. Can’t afford to spend $425 on wedding shoes. But aren’t they pretty?! And comfy-looking?

I wanted to use pomegranates for our escort cards bc they are my FAVORITE and they matched our color scheme perfectly. Unfortunatley they were just coming into season and were impossible to find for less than $5 a piece. So we ended up using local apples instead. They looked cute and all of our guests loved them, lots of people ate them 🙂

Definitely the shoes I wanted didn’t seem to exist! I ended up just custom making my own through milkandhoneyshoes.com though

- Wedding: January 2013 - Harbourfront Grand Hall
I had a really hard time finding a backdrop for our ceremony space! Also, I really want the David Tutera Crystal place card holders…. and I found them but I’m unwilling to pay the price they are…

Orange shoes. This was a PITA for me and my MOHs. I wanted 2.5″ or less, to stay shorter than DH, wanted the “right” shade, and wanted something I’d wear afterwards. Took months, but I eventually found them.

Wow, I would’ve never thought shoes was a big item. I guess bcos mine were mauve color.

Extra-wide aisle runner…the prices are insane. Our ceremony venue has pillars that define an aisle, but they make a 6’ft wide aisle. I was trying to find a 5′ wide aisle runner to cover the horrid carpet and define the aisle better, but $300 isn’t happening. With 25 days to go i’m debating making one, or just lining the aisle with candles and going runner free.

Shoes!!! I’ve ordered several pairs from Zappos and I think I’m willing to try ONE more pair and then I’m finally just going to suck up the price and order these:
In Pewter. I’m wearing a pewter belt. I want to spend < $100 on shoes, but it may not be happening.
Also, BM dresses were a total pain. The color I was envisioning was a peach/pink color and I couldn’t find what I wanted in the length and material anywhere. I REFUSE to make my sisters and friend wear taffeta, it’s just cruel. Originally I wanted them all in the same material, different colors within the same palette, different necklines, same length. Now, they’re in the same material, color, length, with different necklines. They’re all Amsale long chiffon dresses in Pacific.

Right now my issue is a brooch hair clip.
Soon I’ll be complaining about shoes, though, because I shattered my ankle about a year ago and the metal in my ankle makes it shaped a little… well, it’s huge. I have one cankle.

A headband… Well “THE” headband for not $500+ It is driving me insane…
