What time of day is best for an appetizer & cocktail reception, while trying to avoid lunch hour or dinner hour? There would still be cake, music and some dancing, but not all the traditions like garter toss, bouquet toss, etc. I really don’t know what time most people tend to eat dinner! TIA!

You could have the ceremony & reception in between lunch & dinner (ceremony around 2, reception at 3, people will scoot out in time for dinner) OR, you could have your ceremony at, say, 8pm and that is clearly after dinner. If you don’t want to wait all day to get married, you could do a mid-morning ceremony followed by a brunch reception.

Okay, that’s perfect! Thank you!!! Right now our ceremony is set to be at 2:30pm and will have the reception right after, no pictures or specific cocktail hour inbetween, so we really didn’t want to do a full meal. We’re hoping the timing will allow people to stay long enough to enjoy their time and then take off to go wherever they want for dinner =o)
