i'm certainly no expert on dj's, but we just met with ours and here are the questions i asked him.
- is lighting extra
-is there a minimum
- do you mix the songs
- how many weddings do you do a year (inexperience could result in disaster!)
-can you do mc duties
-do you have a backup system in case something goes haywire
-have you ever played at *our venue*
he did have samples of music but i didnt ask for it. i felt he had enough experience (he does like 40 weddings a year) ... although i might listen to it when i get a few minutes.

My fiancee and I don't know how to go about finding a good DJ... Any recommendations for the LA area? And what should I ask them? Do they have samples of mixes? Anything i should look out for?
