You could just say cocktails anyway; that is what we did. Or you could just say something about having refreshments.
Since we are going with a theatre theme, we are calling ours the "intermission" between act 1 (the ceremony) and act 2 (the reception)
@destiny1120: I really like happy hour, that's really cute and different! Cocktail hour doesn't describe the drink, though, it's just the name for a social mix and mingle.
Our venue kept referring to it as "Social Hour" - I kept correcting them saying: No, COCKTAIL hour!! (I was really passionate about our drinks! - ha!)
I wondered the same thing. We are having soda and thought our drinking friends would be devastated by a fake cocktail hour. I like the social hour idea.
Intermission or Happy Hour are good suggestions. I'm having the same for my wedding and so far we're just going to call it Mingling Hour. x

So my FI and I are just having beer and wine at the reception. What do we call the cocktail hour if there are technically no cocktails? He jokes we should call it pregaming.
