My girls and I are having a fondue night tomorrow with three different types of fondues.  I'm bringing things for the cheese fondue.  Besides bread, what else is good to dip in cheese fondue?  Also, what is your favorite bread for cheese fondue?

Green apples are really good as well as veggies.

Vegetables (like broccoli) and meat (like sausage) are both popular choices!  I just like good ol' French bread.  I'm jealous, I wish I was coming!  :-)

Oh yum! I love fondue. :)

When I've had cheese fondue, here's what we dipped:

veggies - like broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, etc.

granny smith apples (depending on the type of cheese, it can be really good!)

potatoes - but you might have to bake or boil them first.

there's probably more, but that's all I can think of right now.

    Have fun!

Mmm... love fondue!  We do bread, apples, veggies (peas, carrots, green beans).  We just had a fondue party about 2 weeks ago!

We just went to the Melting Pot for fondue!  There were veggies, rosemary bread, rye bread, and sourdough, and then there were also little pots full of summer sausage, gherkin pickles, and green apples.  But feel free to get creative and dip anything in there!

    It was delish!  Have fun!

I love fondue! Whenever I get it, it is served with broccoli, sliced carrots (I think they are steamed), pieces of grilled chicken, soft pretzel pieces, bread, cubes of ham (fried) and sometimes they will use hard pretzel rods as a garnish but I eat those too! :D

We went raw, but we picked all veggies that we would eat raw anyway.

Oooh and we did tofu for the vegans among us.  It was great!

Yum I LOVE fondue!  We usually just do bread but I would say apples, carrots & celery are popular too.  Also sausage if you want meat.

Just bread, really.....I don't dig the fruits+cheese very much. I've had it, it just doesn't appeal to me. Bread is all you need!

YUM!  I love fondue.  If it were my own personal fondue, I'd totally dip my fingers in it, but since it's a party:

bread (crusty baguette type), apples, cured meats (sausage, salami), pickles, veggies (broccoli, carrots) - go crazy!
