So I had a bit of dress regret and was pretty miserable until my first dress fitting. They fixed everything I hated about it, and added what it needed to make me fall in love with it again. (they made it fit right, so I needed all the alterations) They quoted me and I signed the contract. The price was more than I wanted to spend, but I said ok.
I go to pay for it today…and the quote is DOUBLE. DOUBLE! Im in teaaaars. I don’t know what to do, I can’t wear the way it is. I signed a contract at the half price…I called and they said they’d call me back.

@garden_bride: Try not to panic until you hear the actual price. Then, if they are still insisting it would cost twice the amount you agreed to, ask them why. Did they make a mistake in their calculations? What is it, exactly, that makes doing x, y, and z so expensive? Maybe they’re just trying to take your money.

If they won’t come down, just take it somewhere else! There’s always another alterations store. Don’t give them your business if thye were dishonest with you.
