We have ordered parent’s albums from our photographer for their gifts. My question is how to handle this when we won’t have the actual album until sometime after the wedding. I had thought to give the Groomsmen gifts and Bridesmaid gifts at the rehearsal dinner. We won’t have anything to hand our parents …anyone dealt with this?

I like to put a picture of the future present inside of a box. Then wrap the box and hand it off. You can write a note with the explaination, or just tell them.
For birthdays, I like to add something with weight, and little value, just to throw the person off. That’s probably too informal for a wedding. This also works for gift certificates.

We gave them a heart felt card telling them they were getting an album. Because my parents for the vast majority of the wedding we also gave them a gift certificate to bed&breakfast.com post wedding

thanks! a card is a good idea. I don’t want them to feel left out. Three of the parents have contributed in varying ways to the cost of the wedding but FI and I are paying for the vast majority.
