We got married beggining of August. We had all our Thank you cards in the mail by beginning of November.
Just talking to random family members and friends we have come to realize that the vast majority of our Thank You cards never got to their destination. LIke 80-85% have not received anything. Strangely though, none of the cards have been returned to us.
What do we do?
-Send out a new round of Thank You cards to everyone?
-Email everyone with a picture of the thank you card and explain the situation (that Canada Post seems to have lost them) and if they would like a new one mailed, please let us know **although this one makes the little voice inside me say this might be rude!
-Leave it be and pretend we don’t know they are lost
Really not sure what to do. Either way…there is a lot of work wasted and a lot more work coming to fix this.
Bad Karma on you Canada Post!! Although, better the Thank You cards lost than the invitations. 🙂

How strange… I’ve never heard of Canada Post being THAT bad.
How are you finding out that people aren’t receiving them? I’d probably just send a new one to those that have inquired.

@SapphireSun: It just comes up in conversation. “So, what did you think of the picture we included in our Thank You card?” Answer is for the most part, “What Thank You card?”

@Nicoso: Yeah, so I’d definitely resend to the people that it’s come up with.

@Nicoso: That is really weird! Have you contacted Canada Post about it?? Is it possible they are stuck in a mail box somewhere?
I would just re-write all the cards, and address the lost issue in the thank you cards. Better that some people get two cards than none at all.

I would def redo the thank you cards.
A lot of people will be upset if they don’t get a proper thank you.
