Wine tasting sounds fun.
If you do end up playing games, my favourite (especially after some wine drinking) is apples to apples.
I vote wine tasting! Have each person bring a bottle, but also a description of what the tastes are. And then cook and eat together. That is a lot of fun (in my opinion since I like cooking)
If you like board games those can be fun, cards, just gossiping,
Old fashioned sleep over. Have people wear the OJ;s, make popcorn and whatever drinks you want (fun frozen drinks?), twister, movies etc.
MAybe even a craft of sorts? Like each person makes a painting (silly or serious) and turn that into a little book for the bride?
I vote wine tasting as well! Another thought is to have people bring the bottles and then put them in brown paper bags.. Everyone gets to do blind taste tests, and then you match what you tasted up to what the descriptions provided are.
We did the same thing for my party - sat around drank wine, and ate ourselves silly.. Ohh we ALSO made our own pizzas! :)
Basically eat and drink to your heart's contnet..
I like the slumber party idea. Just an old fashioned gossip fest. . . popcorn, pizza, mix drinks, watch movies, flip through magazines, do a DIY spa kinda thing for fun, nibble on chocolates and other sweets. Sounds like a blast to me!
Do wine tasting. And bring chocolates and cheese, fruit, etc...things that go well with wine. Then play games and do other fun stuff.
Manis and pedis maybe.
I love the make your own pizza - or maybe a taco bar
We did a mixed drink contest at mine! My MOH (who was amazing, and pregnant at the time, so even more amazing for it!) pretty much bought every kind of liquor you could want, and party cups, juices & mixers, fresh fruit slices, etc. and all the girls had to make a mixed drink, write down the ingredients, make up a fun name, and then I judged them all on 1) name, 2) taste, 3) presentation and gave an overall score. The winner got some tacky prize, but it was really fun! Fortuntaly I didn't have to actually drink all 8 of them (just taste), because most of them had at least 3 shots in them, hahahaha... I still have all the "recipes" (written on 3x5 cards). :)
We did this in college. The bride was 22 and we were pretty much a college softball team, having a party. We did a taco night/taco bar for dinner. We had a lot of margaritas and jello shots (you could maybe class up the jello shots....sangria maybe?). It was an 'underwear' party. Everyone brought a gift of new underpants and then we taped the all to the wall. Some were outrageous, some were for the groom (heehee), some were just a Hanes 3-pack, whatever. Then we played ridiculous games like, "pin the penis on the man." It was actually pretty hilarious and a really good time. I'm sure we played other party games and drinking games too...it was a long time ago though.
This idea for a "Bachelorette Book" is something that could definitely be fun at a stay-in bachelorette party: http://bit.ly/8X7RcT (especially if there will be drinking involved) :) It's like a scrapbook meets truth or dare meets yearbook signing.
I just had a ladies night in at my place this past weekend. We hired a lotions, potions, and more hostess to come by and help us get the party started. She was completely free because she's trying to sell her product. Even though she was selling stuff like lotions, spa products, massage oils, lingerie, sex toys, books, etc. it was REALLY FUN! We had her reccomended to us so I would ask around at any sex stores or lingerie boutiques near by if someone knows of a hostess like this. She had games for us to play and taught us about some really neat stuff. It was awesome because it was just us girlfriends and we had a blast checking out all her naughty (and nice) stuff! A funny thing she made us do was hold this giant purple rubbery dildo anytime someone said a bad word to sort of signify you as the naughty one...it was hilarious!!
Afterward we played some drinking games, had a martini making contest and just had a fun night of laughing and joking around. It was great :)
It really depends on the bride and what her hobbies are...
There's a game called Stir Crazy that we do with a group of friends every year... if the bride loves cooking, it would be a great way to entertain everyone. Even the non-cook's that play have a great time. But, it does take a huge chunk of the night - so that would be the 'main' thing (cooking).
you can also set up pole dancing lessons! They will bring their own poles and everything!
I know of a girl who had a psychic come in and give readings to all the girls. Might be something fun, if you're into that.

I'm co-hosting a bachelorette party, and we're renting a house. It's going to be more low-key, hanging out rather than clubs and strippers. We're staying in at the house for at least one of the nights, but i want to find something fun for us to do. My ideas so far are: cooking party (hiring a company but might be too expensive), wine tasting (have guests bring a bottle of wine to taste), 80s theme (slumber party games, 80s movies). Does anyone have any other ideas? Thank you!!! :)
