Hi There Bees,
My new inlaws offered th throw a post-wedding party for us since our wedding was just 15 people and out of state. I’ve found a restaurant and settled on a menu.
It will be from 1:00 to 4:00 on a Sunday this winter. Do you have any suggestions for entertainment or things for peopel to see or do? I am planning on having a wedding slideshow playing near the entrance. But, hadn’t thought much past that.
A friend said I ‘needed’ a cake. Hadn’t thought of that. So, I figured I would go to the experts and get some ideas on things to ‘do’ at the post wedding party.

@sewn: Thank everyone for coming. Find out beforehand if anyone wants to make a speech and invite them up during dinner. Other than that, 2 hours passes quickly so I’m not sure you should do much else.

@beachbride1216: Whoops, 1 to 4. I’ll edit. Not that an additional hour makes a difference!

@beachbride1216: +1. Allow people that want to give speeches to do so. Other than that, relax and enjoy catching up with everyone.

My in-laws threw one for all their friends who weren’t invited to our wedding/SIL’s wedding (four months before ours). People just made small talk for the first hour, ate for the second hour, and filed out in the third hour.
