I initially wasn’t going to have flowergirls but I have been thinking about letting my 7 year old niece be one,I also have a niece that is going to be 8 months old, I don’t know if I should worry about not including her… More for her mom…I’m the last auntie to get married for this little girl. So should I get her to ride up in a wagon or just get her a cute dress for family pictures
i also have two nephews that are 5 and three but I don’t want to have ring bearers, I am alittle worried that the five year old will get jealous of his sister and throw a fit because she gets to do something and he has to sit down 🙁 … It’s a risk I have seen happen in the past

Don’t give the 8-month old another thought. Even the wagon is too risky. If that mom gets upset, she has too much time on her hands.
The 5-yr-old boy… if you really don’t want a ring bearer, could he just walk down the aisle in suit and be called the “leader”? it’s a non-job job. I’m pretty sure my sister did that at her wedding so random cousins’ kids could be included without too much responsibility.

Zenostar: Have only the positions you want in your wedding.
There was a similar post yesterday where the bride had a bridal party of 3, but her Mom was pressuring her to include all te second cousins. That would have made a bridal party of 13. If the groom matched the numbers- a wedding party of 26.
One Bee told the OP that if she asked one second cousin she had to include them all. That is just rubbish. We do not need to protect our children from ever having hurt feelings. That’s part of life and part of growing up. It’s a teaching moment for parents.
