Was it like a floral cone? Kinda like this, but I would imagine it was made out of a spiral piece of metal and didn't have the little handle at the top.

(Well, not really pews, but rows of chairs.) I was at a wedding and the decrations on the ends of the rows were long stemmed roses inside of a spiral "thing". I don't really know how to describe it, but it went about halfway up the chair and was a green spiral that the flowers fit into and then it was tied to the chair leg with ribbon. It was gorgeous and I wanted to do something like it with calla lilies. Does anyone know what I'm talking about or how I could get them? Maybe I can make them or have them made. Hm.
