What to do on Couch to 5K off days?

    I just started the Couch to 5K training plan and I've been running on the treadmill at my gym during my lunch hour. I know it's not safe or recommended to run the plan every day, so I'm looking for something to do on the off days to mix it up. Any recommednations? I'd like it to be something else I can do at the gym because I really look forward to that break in the middle of the day. I know some of you are going to want to say weight training, but I already plan on doing that. Is there some other kind of cardio I can mix in? Spinning or swimming, maybe? What do you guys think?

    I'm impressed that you're able to make it to the gym every work day!! I'm on week 3 day 3 of Couch to 5K, and I have been going at night, around 9PM, then coming home and crashing. (I work a typical 9-5 job).

    Does your gym offer classes, or are you just trying to find a new machine? Maybe the ellipticals? It's a completely different workout than running.

    My FI and I are doing the c25k, and on our days off we're doing the 200 sit up, and 100 push up challenges.  We do them at home, while watching tv.  It's kindof the same idea as the c25k, where you build up strength by doing intervals.

    I would add some muscle building activities in there instead of more cardio, that will help you get into shape easier and faster than just cardio!
