I posted yesterday and I am coming back for more advice. We were told our photos would be in around the 6 week mark. It is now 8 weeks. He hasn’t returned my called or my email. Our wedding and our photog are both in a different state, so it isn’t like I can physically go to his place of business. I am starting to worry. Any suggestions?

@carolsdaughter: I wouldn’t be freaked that you’re at 8 weeks, that’s typical for the height of the season, but it is poor business practices to not address client communications. Has your communication been more “just checking in,” or more, “I am concerned you are not going to deliver our images at all?” We personally respond much faster and prefer to communicate via email, but unless you are contacting us over the weekend we generally respond within 24 hours. Does your contract have a firm delivery promise in it, or is it approximate?
I would suggest sending them an email saying something simple like, “We haven’t heard from you since (whenever you last heard from them), and we just wanted to check in to make sure you’re alright. Please let us know that you received our message!” Something like that. Then if they don’t respond within 48 hours I’d consider sending a certified letter in the mail.

@carolsdaughter: try not to worry, they probably arent replying as they are very busy or are trying to finish your photos, I would wait a couple of days before calling again, calling is more direct then emailing. It is easier to ignore an email. You also dont want them to rush your editing etc for the sake of a few weeks.
