Quick question.  Is the area around the incisions red or pink, almost like a rash?

If so, I’d consider seeing the doctor first thing in the morning or even go to the ER tonight.  Itching combined with a rashy appearance can be an indicator of infection.  I had a relative who contracted a staph infection when she had a lump removed from her breast and itching was one of the symptoms that tipped her doctor off there was a problem.

I itch like that too — what I do is itch around the area that is bugging me. It sounds crazy but it works.

Ive heard to gently pat the area instead of itching it. But that was with tattoo’s. I have done the same with small scratches that have been healing, because I also itch when I am healing.

Try a cool compress – something like an icepack wrapped in a teatowel. This helped the most for me when I had really bad sand fly bites that itched like crazy.

I would go with @Mrs.Estep:

and just gently pat the area. Thta’s what I do with things that are healing.
