ditto. donate or sell. if you donate you can write it off come tax time.
You can always make them shorter and wear them again :)
No really, I agree with the PP.
Depending on how bad they are, you could use them for a Halloween costume inspiration :)
One friend used hers as a table cloth. Over a cardboard box. Seriously.
I like @redherring's advice! :) I have a friend who is involved with the Fairy Dust Project - they collect old prom dresses and bridesmaid dresses for high school girls for prom. Check it out!
One of my friends used to make pillow cushions out of the fabric. I stick all of mine in the back of my closet. It's fun to pull them out and have a chuckle. :)
I hope the ones my girls are getting can be worn again...
Otherwise, yes, I'd say donate them.
I should post my latest BM dress on Ebay, its worth a shot...its a bummer that I spent $170 on a dress that I don't like & then just donate it...
cut it short, make it a cocktail dress and wear it to other weddings.
I'm turning my pistachio green bill levkoff into pillows.....I like the color, but the dress was insanely uncomfortable and not something i'd wear again, obviously. But I like the shade
I donated the ones I didn't like, and am trying to decide what to do about the one I did like (it was really comfortable and a great sillhouette, but I'm not really a bright pink dress kind of girl). I'll see about having it dyed, otherwise I'll probably donate it, too.
If they fit well up top, I like to get them altered into a cocktail-style dress. At least you'll get 1 or 2 more wears out of it. And it feels like a brand new dress. =)
I would donate them to Becca's closet if they are party - type dresses that a girl might wear to a prom or something - they give dresses to girls who would otherwise not be able to affrod them. My girls are good at sewing so they're going to modify them into party dresses.
great ideas! i've been thinking about making sure my girls' dresses will be re-wearable without looking BM-esy.<span style="white-space: pre;">
One I literally threw out in the hotel room trash can when we were leaving the wedding. The other couple hang in my closet. One is not that bad but just not something I think I'll wear. The others I laugh at.
I donated mine the last time I cleaned out the closet. I haven't ever worn one that I really loved, so I just didn't see the point in keeping them any longer.
I donated mine. That is why I had all my bridesmaids pick out their own dress. So they might actually have a shot at liking it

What do you girls do with your bridesmaid dresses after the wedding since most bridesmaid dresses aren't really wearable after the wedding?
