Your hair length is perfectly fine for an updo, any length will do as long as it is longer than chin length. I advise finding a salon that you would trust and making an apointment to play with ideas. Usually a stylist will try several different options out. Also browse the web for picture ideas, the knot.com has a large gallery of hair ideas. Good luck and have fun with this!
My hair is (now) similar in length to yours. I'm doing a french twist, which would definitely work for your hair.

So my hair is a tiny bit past my shoulders and I'm normally a short-haired type of gal. I've been trying to find a way to fix my hair but haven't found anything that I truly love. I think I'd prefer to put my hair up but I think the options are somewhat limited considering my hair isn't incredibly long. I also bought a low tiara to wear so I have to keep that in mind as well. Does anyone have any suggestions?? I don't mind the messy or the formal. I think I could swing either one.
