I’m planning on after my wedding doing a trash the dress session (not completely trash it though. I just wanna get it a wet and dirty, but it’ll wash out in the cleaners), then getting it preserved and I’m debating on if I want to sell it or not afterwards to one of those once worn websites. I might keep it for a bit because I love it though :/

I definitely would do a trash the dress shoot. Check with your photographer and see if they would be willing to give you a deal. You never know… :o)

I did a trash the dress session on the beach. I didn’t trash my dress…but it got a little wet and sandy. I’m still going to have it cleaned and then thinking about…..donating it….or keeping it for when we have kids and making something for them as a baby out of it.

I can’t bear the thought of trashing my dress. Mine will be preserved and stored in my parents’ house.

I don’t think I will trash mine, but I might do some kind of photo shoot with it.  I’ve seen anniversary shoots where people dress up in their outfits again on a one-year anniversary for example. This might be cool for us to do in our own city, since we will be in Hawaii for our wedding.

I will probably hang on to mine in case I have a daughter though and she wants to use it for something.  My mom rented her wedding dress, so I didn’t have that option.

Mr.LK and I are doing a day-after shoot next month (we didn’t schedule a lot of time for portraits on our wedding day because we really wanted to spend as much time as possible with our family and friends), then 2 of my besties and I are doing a TTD session together, and then I will donate it to Brides for Breast Cancer. So I will have oodles of dry cleaning bills, but it will be worth it to get to wear my dress 3 times and then to donate it to such a good cause.

I had my gown preserved.  But, now I’m considering having it made into a Christmas tree skirt, decorative pillows, and/or a christening gown.

I’m taking mine to Rome on our honeymoon, we are going to have the pope bless our marraige and if you wear your wedding gown you get to sit in the front row of the newlywed section for him to bless you. After that? probably craigslist for $50. I wanna get rid of it. why keep it? If it had beautiful beading on it I would def make something out of it though…

I love the idea of doing a trash the dress… then cleaning it and selling it.
