Silly me, I bought my bridesmaids non returnable bridesmaids dresses and unfortunately one of girls had to drop out of the wedding party.
Now I am stuck with a brand new bridesmaids floor length formal halter top dress.. What should I do with it? I’ve came up with some idea: 1)Cut it short and wear it in my engagement pictures. 2) leave the length and wear it in my engagement pictures. 3) Just don’t do anything with it and leave the bridesmaids do their role and wear the bridesmaids dress.
thats the stock pic, my bridesmaids’ dresses are pink
Ladies~ Please give me some ideas 🙂

You can always alter it so that its slightly different, and make it a rehearsal dinner dress too.

@Sweetescape1976 why didnt I think of that………… lol But somehow deep down inside my heart (really really deep down), I want to keep it for memory even though i could use the extra money

Do you have a picture of it?

Donate it to a charity that gives dresses to underprivileged girls for proms/graduations/etc.

Don’t wear it before the wedding if all your BMs match, I think i’d be a bit confused if I saw BM’s in a dress I’d seen the bride in previously.
Keep it by all means, but either alter/cut it but don’t wear the exact same dress!

@WonderBee That’s a good idea.
@Honeyblood That’s exactly what I worry about… maybe I can make it short so it looks and feels different ?
@Duncan I do want to keep it

Donate it to Fairy Godmother or something for girls who can’t afford prom dresses =)

@Brideonabudgetlauren: good idea!
Personally I would offer to pay you back if I was the friend that had to drop out.

I would either cut it short and wear it yourself OR sell it.

Can you dye it? I would dye it and wear it, or save it for an event, or I like the idea of donating it to a group that gives away prom dresses.
