Ladies, I need help choosing that to do with a radiant cut diamond I have. It is currently in a ring from FI’s family but his mom has offered to set it into a pendant for me. It’s about 1 carat, almost square cut. There are also 8 little princess diamonds as side stones in the ring. This is it (crappy phone pic):
I am considering a few pendant options, but I don’t know what to choose. A big concern I guess is that the stone isn’t exactly square so I don’t know if that will be noticeable in the 45 degree tilted styles (option 1 or 3). The tilted look is my favorite but I’m worried it might look stupid if the stone isn’t exactly square.
Alternatively, does anyone have ideas to also use the 8 little side stones? I don’t think there are enough to do a full halo around the center stone.

@Pinkmoon: I like the idea of making it into a pendant. What about using the extra stones to make the actual clasp connecting part….I’m drawing a blank ….I can’t think of the name of what it is actually called thou….the connecting part that holds the pendant onto the necklace

i like your third option best…it’s just a little bit different. 🙂 also, you could do like a PP suggested and have them set into the bail on the pendant…or maybe have them set 2×2 into a pair of matching earrings?

Oh that’s a cool idea, thanks ladies. I did consider earrings as well since 8 stones would work wthat for that.

The finished product! My FMIL wanted to use the side diamonds from the ring so she had them add the halo trim.
