What to do with two nights alone?

My dog and SO were gone from the 22nd to the 27th and I was all alone. I rearranged the bedroom, did some cleaning, drank some wine, finished my book, visited friends…

There’s SO MUCH to do!! Just stop focusing on being alone as a negative thing. It can be positive in so many ways.

Ooh I love the occasional night alone. I like to eat mass amounts of junk food like a slob, grab a bottle of wine and watch all my guilty pleasure and wedding tv shows that FI hates. Then sleep dead center in our king size bed taking up as much space as I possibly can. It’s glorious.

…I eat pizza and drink wine. I think you’re doing it right!

I play videogames a lot. When my husband deploys, I deep clean the house or I fill my day with books and games.

I love alone time! I cuddle up in my pjs with my kitty, eat junk food and watch guilty pleasure tv and movies.

Exactly like PPs said. Embrace it! My husband is home…and he’s upstairs watching football while I’m in the basement with wine and Psych. We both need our own time. Of course you miss him but he’ll be home soon. Eat the pizza toppings he hates, the tv shows he won’t watch, the temp of the house you like…it can be wonderful 🙂

@MrsYoshida:  Me too! Luckily so as FH gets up for work at 11 PM returns around 3 or 4 Pm. He is usually in bed by 7 PM. So except for vacations and two nights a week (not consecutive either), I am alone a LOT. Well me and the kitties. Like a PP posted – there is so much to do! Talking/visiting friends, catching up on correspondence, looking up new recipes, online window shopping. household crap (I mean upkeep), books and articles to read, photos to organize, etc. I am currently downstairs, listening to the satellite radio and wasting far too much time on the computer.

After 14 years with DH, I wish he would go out of town for a couple of days.

LOVE the occasional night alone! Do the things that you don’t get to do when you are together, or things that he just isn’t as into as you!

I like to catch up on my TV shows, eat chocolate, take a long shower, paint my nails, clean up the house a bit, catch up with friends/my family, read a chapter in a book…

My favorite ways to pass the time when I’m home alone are reading and binge-watching TV shows. I watched the entire first season of House of Cards in a couple of days and loved it!
