lol, I just had this vision of coming home from work, shimmying into my dress after the day, and cracking a beer.

Personally, I’m going to take a year to try to sell it (maybe less), and give the money back to my mom as a gift. If I can’t do that, I’ll donate it.

I sold mine.  I got to wear a $7-8K dress for about $1K total expense.  It was absolutely worth it to me.  I have nowhere to store a dress and don’t miss owning it at all.  It was all about the big day wearing it them…and for that I have my photos and memories.

I either would like to sell it or save it for my babies to be made into christening gowns. I bought a fancy veil and will be saving that for kids to wear on their wedding days.

While I would love the money, I just can’t imagine selling my dress! I haven’t even picked it out yet, but I have a feeling I will be saving it.

My dress is really simple, so I had it cleaned the week after the wedding and now it’s hanging in my closet.

I’m considering shortening it and wearing it on our anniversary for as long as I can fit into it! But it’s kind of a trumpet shape, so it would look better if I can shorten it from the waist instead of cutting off the bottom. It’s a little daunting to me so I’m just thinking about it for now… I have 11 months until I want to wear it again 🙂

I am still debating this issue.

As my dress is a ball gown it will take up an EPIC amount of space in my precious closet so I am considering selling it. Although I hate the idea of parting with it really.

I fully intend to wear mine as an evening dress and a ball gown on a fairly regular basis after the wedding. That’s why I didn’t want a too overtly weddingy wedding dress.

@Treejewel19: Mine will take up scary amounts of space too. I’ll have to work out how to store it, but I want to keep it.

Though my dress is a HUGE ballgown, they’re adding a zipper and making it knee length. So I’m hoping I can keep and wear it around sometimes.
