I bought some like that too. I got little hanging jar lanterns and we put water and floating candles in them to light the way.
@rlsulli1598@verizon.net: I love that idea and I thought about it, but since we are getting married at 4:30pm in early September it'll be too early plus candles are not allowed outside. :(

I know you've all seen the gorgeous sheppard's hooks used to line the aisle of many a weddding ceremonies....like Mrs. Cherry Pie for example! I've seen pomanders and mason jars stuffed with gorgeous flowers. I love it! But, I wonder what to do with the hooks I have. My mom happened to come across a garage sale last weekend and a woman was selling sheppard's hooks just like this one, for a $1 each---CHEAP!! Note: Once in the ground they come about mid-thigh high or so.
See how there are two hooks? I am not sure what to do with both hooks--haha, sounds so silly to say, but I am stumped. Our venue is a nice little lodge and we plan to direct people around one side of the building and part of that little walk path has grass and I thought it would be nice to use the hooks to line a path to the patio back behind the lodge. Here is where we are getting married:
Ignore the fact that this photo is old and was before grass came up on the island in front ;) I wonder when the manager of the place will update photos so it looks better online. Oh well! But, on the far left side of the photo, you see the little sidewalk, just beyond that is the grass where I'd have the path and the patio is behind this building.
We plan to use sunflowers in mason jars for centerpieces. While I'd love to do that for the sheppard's hooks, I think a jar on each hook would not only be a little much but also costly.
Ideas? I love some to toss around!
