Definitely eat lots of fruit and veggies. Stay away from processed foods (so nothing boxed, I'd try not to eat out much) and go for whole grains when you do eat breads. Focus on the protein, as being protein deficient adds bloat. Stay far away from salt and carbonated drinks! Maybe plan out some meals beforehand so you're not tempted to eat something that's just around, like pizza or bagels?
You know, I was GOING to worry about this, but I didn't and everything was fine.
At the rehersal dinner the night before I had a spicy enchillada, bread & diet soda - big bloaters and stomach issue causers. For breakfast the day off I had a bagel and fruit, and for lunch I had a PB&J. Didn't have any issues with bloating, upset stomach... I honestly think that a lot of that is caused more by nerves than your food.
The only thing I would recommend is to not eat anything that you haven't eaten (edited to correct my awful spelling..) before, so that you don't have a bad reaction. If you are feeling bloated the next day, take gas-x or something like that.
Good luck!
This is a great question! I'm wondering this too, since I'll be at my mom's house in the days before the wedding, and she tends to stock up on potato chips, cheese, frozen foods, cold cuts, macaroni and cheese, white bread...basically everything I probably shouldn't eat before the wedding.
I need to make a plan to avoid these foods! I'm interested in hearing everyone's suggestions, I can only think that you should probably avoid all of the things I mentioned above and eat salads.
I was so terrible about this myself although I had the best of intentions ... that last week I was just eating whatever, drinking beer, etc. I still lost weight, it was so cool. I'm sure that'll never happen again! :-)
However, if you do have the discipline ... lots of water, obviously, and fruit. Some veggies are OK, others like broccoli can cause ... issues. ha ha. Minimize sodium and anything processed.
Watermelon is my absolute favourite detox/diuretic ... but be sure to eat it on its own and not with anything else.
Thanks for these great comments girls!
@Fontgoddess, I absolutely looove watermelon (because it tastes great, and is so good for you!); FI and I have gone through 3 so far this week! Mmmm!
I'm sure I will be ok regardless of what I eat over the next 3 days.
FI and I cancelled our big, traditional wedding for next summer, and opted instead for a small, intimate wedding with 7 weeks to plan. I knew that I had to lose about 10 pounds of post-baby and co-habitation weight before I could fit comfortably in my wedding dress (which by the way has absolutely no room to be let out!), but I wasn't concerned in the least when I had over a year to do it. But then all of a sudden I had only 7 weeks to do it! I've lost 9 pounds, but I've been way slacking with my exercise for the last 2 weeks (wisdom teeth out, and then just too busy!). I can fit into the dress, thank goodness, but I could use all the tips I can get to drop any water weight and be a little more comfortable in the dress!

My wedding is (unbelievably!) in 3 days!
I have read before (and of course I can't find it now...) that there are certain foods that are good, and bad, for your body. I'm wondering if there are any healthy Bee's out there who can point me in the direction of what to eat (and what to avoid!) for the next 3 days to help me: cleanse my body, get rid of any water weight I might be carrying, keep my complextion clear (I'm prone to breakouts, and miraculously my skin is pretty clear right now; I'd like to keep it that way!), and anything else that might benefit a very soon-to-be bride.
Thanks so much fellow Bee's!
