We haven’t decided yet, but my parents have this:

[mom’s initials] to [dad’s initals] [date of their wedding]

I want to engrave his, but we can’t 🙁

I would have used “You Hoke?”   Because it means the world to us.  lol.

PenguinGuy and I are both getting our bands engraved.

His will read ”PenguinGal 8-21-2010”

and mine will read ”PenguinGuy 8-21-2010”

This way we are always with each other.

I think just the wedding date is classic, but if possible, I think I want “Aloha au ia oe” engraved… it’s Hawaiian for “I love you” and was how he first said those (four) little words to me! 🙂

@littlemissmango – okay it definately took me a good 5 minutes to figure out how “i love you” was four words haha.

I think i would just want the simple initials, and wedding date. It’s something that you’re always have, but really, who checks the inside of their band to read the ‘inside joke’?

we have “you’re my favorite” inside ours because we always say that to each other. i had to have it engraved in my engagement ring because it wasnt do-able in my wedding band.

I wish we could have had ours engraved! I think we could do his, but mine are way too thin. I would have gone with our initials and the wedding date – I think if in the future we decided to pass down our rings it would be really neat for our families to always have that as a keepsake.

FYI – If you are getting tungsten carbide those can be laser engraved!

I engraved “My beloved husband  June 3rd, 2010” on his band, a line from our wedding vows that we wrote and arranaged ourselves.

we’re going to have our “I love you” phrase engraved in ours…mine will have “…, too” b/c he always says it second (he likes it to be the last thing I hear when I fall asleep).

i can’t engrave mine, but i did engrave my fiance’s (i’m picking it up today and sooo excited to see it). i picked a song title by the postal service, because it’s a fitting song in a few different ways. i also had our date and an apple image engraved next to it (i went to a hand engraver, not a machine engraver, so they could do this image for me).

i had a hard time picking out what to engrave and in the end the song just really clicked. i wanted to put something that would be around for a long time and not just a fleeting memory.

I’m planning to get “Come Rain or Come Shine” in his as it’s a line from what will be our first dance song.

Can you do something from your song?  If it’s special to you that is.

We were planning on three words that are very special to us. Once I asked (then FI) to describe our relationship in three words… the words he chose were the same that I had picked out and he had no idea.

So we included them in our wedding vows, and wanted to engrave our rings with them, but mine is too delicate to be engraved, so we didn’t do his either.

I am getting “you ahhhh!” (you are- in a Boston accent- FH is from Mass.).  Its from a Saturday Night Live skit and we always say it to eachother.  Get something meaningful between the two of you, something that will make you both smile when you see it 🙂
