He’s going to be 34 next week. I only have $100 to spend including dinner and a card (which basically leaves like $30 to buy him an actual gift). Any ideas?
btw he’s not into accessories so no watches, hats, scarves, etc…

I’m thinking about my FI’s birthday gift too. His birthday is literally our wedding date – but I actually want to get him something!
What is your DH into? Is he into TV shows? Pop Culture? Geeky culture? Favorite books? Concerts?

@Aquaria: Is the weather still nice where you live? Rather than take him out to dinner, which could use the majority of the $100, I would pack up a romantic picnic basket. That would free up more $ for his gift.
If you tell us something about his interests, we might be able to come up with some ideas.

- Wedding: November 2014 - Sea Ranch Lodge
A cool pocket knife? Grill set? Personalized metal grill press? Beer making kit (slightly more expensive but maybe you can do a cheaper dinner)?

Got my FI the Game of Thrones books for his birthday, he’s so into them. I’ve also gotten him a mini food processor and a cookbook, cologne, tickets to a football game, shoes… I usually try to get him something practical. Something I know he’ll use everyday or at least very often.

@BruinBeeMPH: oh geez. He asked me for the actual Game of Thrones throne. You can buy it from the HBO store for several thousand dollars. A book sounds more reasonable for sure!
