We have a "Help us choose our music!" page where guests can request songs to be played at the reception (we used a program called CBox - basically a comment application).
You could also have a page where you tell stories about each person in your bridal party. It's a fun way to honor them.
Also, on the hotel page, consider including information about the city where your wedding will be held - maybe even an interactive map, if your fiance's feeling up to it - so guests can get excited about visiting!
Yeah- I have been working on ours... I think the most helpful thing I did (even though I haven't sent out the link to anyone yet so it is yet to be seen if anyone will take advantage of it...) is if you have out of towners, and you use weddingmapper.com and make a map of places of interest. That way your guests could conceivably look online at hotels and locations in relation to where your activities will be. They can also print out directions from the locations you saved/inputted. I just did that and linked it to our wedding website.
I also included a tab "for the kids'; so they know what they can do with their families. But I don't know if you mostly have out of towners like we will.

Thanks! We do have mostly out-of-towners coming, so I'll definitely have to check out that weddingmapper thing. And I've never seen anything like the music request idea, that's a good one! Any other brilliant ideas out there? Keep 'em coming! :)

My fiance is designing our wedding website from scratch, so I wanted to include some fun/interesting elements to really personalize it. In addition to the usual stuff (directions, hotel info, photos, etc.), does anyone have creative ideas for fun stuff we can include on the site? My fiance is a computer programmer, so he should be able to create whatever I can dream up!
